I am feeling now as though teachers aren&#039;t totally alone, with only students and their parents to support us against the gigantic media machine fueled by What&#039;s Hot Now.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[My teachers&#039; union encouraged me to earn national certification. My teachers&#039; union made sure I understood   the intricacies of multiple intelligences (learning styles) so I would be more effective in the classroom. My teachers&#039; union guided
my training and development. I am known as an effective teacher. The state leadership of Florida where I work has done little  for me  as a teacher except provide harassment, blame, and ridicule. Whenever I hear someone off-handedly bash  teachers&#039; unions, I wonder if they have any idea at all what the unions actually do.]]></description>
